Captain America: Brave New World has a startling cameo: a Duo Surface Microsoft

I saw the Marvel Captain of America: Brave New World and was comprehensive in Hulk Red Hulk to Harrison Ford-including monster’s chest hair. I will preserve my thoughts on how good the movie (or maybe tedious) was for later. But it was a moment that made me laugh, and then made me think. But don’t worry, that doesn’t ruin anything.

Sam Wilson, played by Anthony Mackie, at one point pulls his phone to show another character some information (see, without loot). Captain America’s choice phone? A duet of Microsoft surface.

At first I thought this was a strange choice. Sam seems to have all the superhero technology he might want, except for the serum of super soldiers (which is partly that makes it as wonderful as Captain America). He has wingspan Wakanda, cold flight googles, redwing and… a double surface phone. Three of the four of them have perfect meaning for Captain America.

Nothing like a small turbulence of movement: here is Sam who holds his duo of Microsoft’s surface.

As a phone reviewer for Cnet, a surface duet was a sudden pleasure. I released a little laugh when I saw it, and judging from silence to the theater, I would not say that no one else tasted the Easter Egg of the mobile phone. But was this a smart product setting or a proport guy who gave Mackie a delightful phone worthy of an avener? Or maybe … was the appearance of the duo something else?

The surface duo is not the first warm phone that takes the screen time. Red Hydrogen A phone ended at Dominic Turto dashboard in F9 and Leonard DiCaprio used the same phone if not looking, though either Leo and Vin Diesel did not benefit from the 3D lens screen. So a phone abroad in a movie or TV show is not entirely unexpected for me.

But Sam’s phone is not a hydrogen, it is a duet of Microsoft surface that came in 2020 and did not sell it well. A second version, Surface Duo 2, came out in 2021, also did not sold well and then became the last version. It was hard to say which model Sam had – I was looking for the duo 2 watch bar, but there wasn’t a good closed phone blow. (Sam would fully use the viewing bar.)

The surface duo includes two 5.6 -inch screens connected by one pair of stainless steel hinges (one on top, one at the bottom). It’S’S really one of the most wonderful phones ever made. All this leads to the question: Why does Captain America have a surface duet?

This is the part I could not stop thinking. There is a fictitious galaxy where Sam bought the phone in 2020, and because he is such a meticulous technician when it comes to taking care of his wardrobe, he simply kept him in perfect condition for five years (or seven years, remember Captain America: The new bold world is set in 2027). Although he would definitely have to change the battery at one point.

Then there is another scenario where Sam read how amazing the Surface Duo device was (despite some of the main software issues) and bought it only for Microsoft’s excellent folio model. And just like the way he stands out with the Ex-7 Falcon Jetpack, I can predict Sam Hacking and uploading his software to run into duets and using it since.

Or is this just Sam using the duo as a burning phone? If this is the case, this would be a big bow when it comes to TV and movies.

I turn to an example of red hydrogen, as this can really tell us why the duo is in a Captain America film. Years ago I interviewed Adam McKay, the director after not see, big short and anchorman. He explained to me that the interrupted hydrogen that was if not look because a proponed boy recommended it. McKay wanted a unique phone and that didn’t look like a standard phone screen.

“And then he [the prop guy] returns with that phone. He goes, ‘this is a whole cellphone the red camera made. They never released it. Check it, ‘”McKay explained.” And I started playing with him. I was like, ‘Why didn’t they let that? This is extraordinary. ‘But apparently it is technically a little difficult and not friendly to consumers.’

Why does Captain America have a surface duet? We can never know. All this to say, the film could have been better.
