Scherpers have a new concert: Teach people how to mark Geformce RTX 5090 GPU

Like other GPU buyers, Sean Wilson woke up early on the day of starting to buy a Nvidia Geforce RTX 5090. But the Seattle area resident had an advantage: he had access to a “chef group” -ose a conversation room For scalpers-to help him NAB the product.

“I thought it would be worth it to join them so that I could increase my chances of getting a 5090,” he says PCMag.

GPU was sold immediately on January 30, but despite the chances, Wilson kidnapped one with the help of early announcements from his cooking group, “House of Carriages”, which was monitoring the best Buy site. “I think HOC provided an advantage to normal customers, as we were able to coordinate things and had announcements about the reset that was happening in the waves,” he says.

Inside a chef group

Although the scaling has long been angry in the PC construction community, some GPU buyers have used consultation with sellers organized in their attempt to obtain coveted products.

“It’S’S is 100% associated with Nvidia graphics cards,” says Christopher George, who co-opars the carriage house, a chef group that began for the first time in 2016. His group membership has increased from 50 to about 400 in the last few weeks. He also estimates that about 30% of new members have focused solely on the purchase of a single Nvidia GPU instead of becoming active sellers.

Some of these new members are also after the RTX 5090 founder edition, which is exclusively sold in Best Buy and costs $ 1,999 – making it the most affordable 5090 model. “It seems they all want 5090 and nothing else,” says George. “All 5090 have increased in price, and people have whispered about it in our group.”

The arrival of the new Nvidia graphics card is also reviving some interest in product scale, which reached new heights in 2020 during the Covid-19 pandemic and a crisis of graphics card supply. At the time, the House of Carts itself had over 2,000 members after the release of Sony’s PlayStation 5 provided more fuel in the resale market.

Since then, the scaling has died. The PS5 is no less, and the resale market for sneakers – another main cow of money for scalpers – has fallen. As a result, the carriage house decreased, but more time boom may be on the horizon with the RTX 5000 series.

Ironically, however, George does not like Shilling for the group, which costs $ 50 a month. Instead, he tells GPU buyers to keep their expectations under control when joining a Cook.

“Sometimes there is a buyer’s remorse,” he says. “We don’t want you to keep spending your money [on these tools that cook groups use]. Or otherwise you will put more money in trying to get a GPU than what the product actually costs. “

Bots not always work

Scalpers are notorious for using automated bots to help them quickly buy products from retailers. These programs can constantly scan a retailer’s site and immediately place an order when the product becomes available, beating human customers. Sometimes, bots can even help scalpers make many units. But it is also quite difficult to use a world, according to George, who is advising normal consumers to give up.

For one, a bot program often requires buyers to pay $ 125 to $ 150 a month and then learn how to use the tool, making it a heavy investment. Another factor is that you will not only be in using the bot; You will have to compete with other sellers and their bots. “Some of these people have done this for five years plus; you won’t beat us,” George says.

The other thing is that customers are fast to assume that the bots will buy all products when a Nvidia GPU sells. However, according to George, retailers like BEST Buy have been quietly implementing ways to stimulate the bots from the completion of the collection process when a graphics card becomes available. This may include making small changes in the website format or access areas to confuse the bots during the collection process, which can make programs stalled.

“It took a while, but [the retailers] You set a lot of money after their anti-bot, ”he says.” One person can do well by making a site, but you can share the same configuration, and another user can only mark one. So it’s not really a good average as people can think. “

Reduce a RTX 5090

In the case of George, his world was able to grab an RTX 5090 by Best Buy on the beginning day. But in general, members of the House of Carts had more success by buying “manually” graphics cards, using laptops and smartphones to click during the collection process.

This is how Wilson bought a RTX 5090. “On the beginning day, my success was using my main account and adding manually to the basket and joining the ‘queue’ in the Best Buy,” he says PCMag.

Do you really need?

That is to say, getting RTX 5090 can still require luck. To sell GPU, the best Buy site has long used a digital system, which essentially forces interested customers to buy the product. However, according to George, the system actually functions as a rifle. Customers who want to buy a GPU get into a pool of waiting while the retailer controls their information. Best Buy then seems to randomly choose clients from the pool to buy a GPU.

“More than an equal field of play,” says George. But the same system can also angry and bother other customers who see a notice sold to Best Buy after you wake up early to buy a GPU.

Along with tips for Botting, the carriage house also provides Intel for members through online scraping, which controls when retailers are preparing to recharge. But for now, the biggest obstacle faced by GPU buyers is that supplies for RTX 5090 have been so low that even scalpers have been struggling to get the graphic card model.

“People really felt as if they’ve lost their time, whether they used a bot or not,” George says, adding later: “One thing we say to people, ‘Don’t waste your time with that .

It is also the reason why he recommends free online tools such as inventory controllers. Usually they will not be as fast as inventory controllers from a chef group, but they can still notify you about retail retailers. Another alternative is to try and visit a micro -central location in the US, where the retailer has sold units of RTX 5090, 5080 and 5070 IT in stores.

“You can still get it if you set the time and effort. But there is an extremely limited supply even without a bot,” says another member of the carriage house that is named “Azoom”. He scored an RTX 5090 by hand during a better purchase reset on February 12.

Azoom plans to re -edition its founders RTX 5090 for $ 5,500, or almost three times the normal price. He sees it as a way to take advantage of a luxury product that an average PC player does not really need. “You can live without one; That is why he doesn’t bother me, “he says.” Of course, we should not reappear the needs. A 5090 is okay, and the market will eventually correct yourself, and after the supply is there, you will be able to get one. “

Meanwhile, the high value of rewriting RTX 5000 cards can be difficult to resist. Sean Wilson, who gathered an RTX 5090 on the beginning day, plans to buy more after joining the House of Carts. “Initially, I joined just to go down one, but I understood the sales potential and got into his aspect,” he says Pcmag.
