1 Launch One (or Two) BlogCreating a blog is the c! See, it makes sense? Check out my guide on how to start a blog if you don’t already have one.
Possessing a hobby blog will assist you in finding work as a freelance writer. Though it doesn’t happen frequently or usually, it does occasionally!
An editor from a well-known twin website contacted me after seeing my pin on a Pinterest group board, shortly after I launched my blog, Twins Mommy, and began writing about my twins and working from home.
a job as a freelance writer from my hobby blog
How incredible was that? Although it was the first time I had experienced this, I have since secured a couple additional freelance blogging jobs.
2 Job Board for BloggingPro! How amazing is that!?
This is also a free job board, so make sure to check frequently and apply as soon as you see a freelance blogger job that looks good for you.
3 Job Board Contena
It’s one of my favorite and most used paid employment boards. How come? because it gathers writing tasks of all kinds from the internet. It also has a big collection of businesses that frequently employ writers.
Using Contena, I can identify cold pitch opportunities and freelance writing gigs. I would have otherwise spent hours pitching, but this saves me time.
4 Employ groups on Facebook
Using social networking to your advantage is another technique to locate freelance writing opportunities. The best place to locate other bloggers that employ freelancers is through Facebook groups.Look for Facebook groups with a specific focus, such as finance or gardening, and join groups related to blogging.
Before contacting someone or bringing up the subject of your freelance blogging, engage in some social listening, pay attention to the discussions, and provide insightful advice.
Alternatively, you may head straight to Facebook’s job board and look for groups dedicated to copywriting, content writing, and freelance writing!

5 Use Twitter/X
X is another social networking network that has been quite helpful in getting me freelance blogging gigs. You may get freelance writing opportunities, network with other writers, and follow brands you wish to write for on Twitter/X.
You can look up “pitch me” editors to find high-paying freelance blogging positions.
Although the majority of these pitches are for blogs rather than magazines, you’ll still learn high-paying journalistic writing techniques that you may apply to your blog writing as a freelance blogger.
Check out my guide on utilizing Twitter as a freelance writer if you’ve never used it before.

Guest blogging is a great approach to reach prospective clients for your freelance writing business in addition to expanding your audience. I have a contributor website called FreealncerFAQs where independent contractors can submit guest posts. It can assist new freelancers in obtaining writing samples and new assignments.

7 Employ Authors’ Work
It’s acceptable if Contena seems a bit too costly to you. There are lots of blogging opportunities available on Writers Work, which is an affordable job website! To start saving the most money, all you have to do is sign up for a one-time payment!
You can limit your search on this job board to only freelance employment, and Writers employment will then display jobs for both freelance and content writing on blogs.
These are entry-level freelancing blogging projects that pay well, and since they are recurring, the revenue is steady!
8 Apply a Cold Calling Tactic
Making a cold pitch can feel intimidating and dangerous. I’ve heard tales of authors who have spent countless hours researching businesses and making cold calls to them, only to receive no response.Hurt!
Exists a superior method? Yes, there is; it’s a tactic I use specifically for cold pitching blogging jobs!
